John Cratchley The 'extended jam' genre is one fraught with danger and not to be undertaken lightly...many bands tend to have a propensity for disappearing up their own fundament with alarming regularity. OSC are definitely not in this category. This collective have worked out that long improvisations need form, structure, direction, balance,
diversity and a fundamental adherence to democracy. This keeps them interesting, relevant, immersive and worth investing time in. These thoughts apply pretty much to the whole OSC discography and not just this latest offering. They all have embedded quality DNA.Wherever you choose to lift off,you will be amply rewarded with some terrific jamming across the final frontier.
